Sweet weapon and general maintenance

I realised I had not handed in my Wrathion quest after picking up the Chimera of Fear, so I trundled off to do that and discovered things about our leader I think is awfully sexy :p cage match anyone?? But also, he may not be the best person to lead the Alliance…or is he??  I felt he handled the situation with Garrosh well, but I would have preferred to see him slaughter in that lovely cinematic, but I can’t be mad at Thrall for stopping that…I have a soft spot for him.

The creation of a jewel was pretty cool as well, I loved how he added everything to it…such power!!

I am now up to the quest section that requires me to collect Valor points, so I basically will be spending the next few weeks just doing dailies/dungeons to make it happen.  Hubby needed the LFR as well as he didn’t realise he already had all the sigils he needed  So we jumped back there (we are now up to the same section of the quest!) and I was using my golden coins of fortune to roll for loot….I had more than 20 (I had some boxes in my bags that I couldn’t empty) so even though I was not able to receive loot from the usual method, rolling gave me loot.  Cheating??  maybe?

Anyway I scored weapons..every time…one cloak…but weapons and weapons and more weapons; one of them was this hot as hell dragonesque looking sword!!!  Which I stuck my brand new Sha crystal into from Wrathion…I will never get rid of this sword, and in fact I am thinking I may need to design an outfit to suit it…I love it….I had only just decided to get rid of my offhand and use a staff as well….but the second I saw this…I knew the staff was gone and my umbrella was back , until I find a replacement…must look up offhands that I can purchase with points somewhere…

Also discovered in my travels about the Exalted Tillers daily quests for other factions..oh my awesome!!!  I am doing Shado pan and August Celestials daily at the moment including their quests to help me get there faster.  I am still miles off being revered with either of them, but every little bit helps I am sure. If I can get her to revered and pick up the rep token it will make it much easier on my pally to start doing dailies and earning some rep and money.  I will try and log onto her this week and start getting some funds up…I can’t even afford to run LFD at this stage, no repair money, so I might just go DPS,  grab dailies and go crazy, it doesn’t take much to gather some gold that way.

On a side note, I don’t know what happened on my mage, but I have started to improve my DPS on her…on the LFR we were in I was doing in the realm of 120 – 140k consistently, of course not during the periods of crazy moving etc…I dropped to just above 100k, which I still think is ok.  I did some reading and found out 3 very valuable things…I was casting frostbolt occasionally…which is bad bad bad bad…I was also wasting a glyph spot for that and I was not using Alter Time properly. Now that I have corrected those two minor things it seems to be much better.  I am still not sure how it could change it that much…but I am not going to argue with maths and proof :p

I do need to spend some time with my boomy now that I have changed her stats around and see if it improves me or if i still suck at the gameplay aspect 🙂  It really could just be that I can’t play the spec. Of course I would be devastated, but life isn’t always fair is it? hehehe

 

Dumbest things I have done recently

So returning to a game you love is pretty difficult because it is amazing the amount of information you forget that at one time seemed really important, but that you don’t realise you have forgotten, because like a remembral – you can’t remember what it is your forgot, even if you do know that you have forgotten something.

I have spent the last month trying to find Evocation in my spellbook, because I realised I had a glyph for it, but wasn’t using it. I spend about 15 minutes every night trying to find it thinking I have missed it on each page, I checked my talent trees to see if it something I needed to spec into now, and concluded I was crazy because it was gone.  I finally decided this morning to google it…turns out…I am using rune of power (duh – which I knew) but that is what replaces evocation!  IDIOT!!!  IDIOT!!!!!!

Of course, that is nothing compared to the idiocy of last night.  I discovered noxxic has a list of approx DPS at differing gear levels, which is goddamn fantastic!  I am of course nowhere near for any of my toons – but it certainly gives me something to aim for so I know what I should be doing.  Anyway I found this after some heroics last night in which my boomy could not get above 20k and infact the healer was beating me in kitty form as resto – she is very well geared though at 550 something whereas I am only barely scraping into the 470 area.  However according to noxxic I should be able to hit about 70k dps….LOL…sure thing buddy!!

I decided then to try and find more hit on my gear somehow, after complaining to the hubby about the lack of hit on boomy timeless isle gear and how I had to reforge all the spirit off because it was useless to me, he advised to check out Mr Robot. I was reticent, but did it anyway and it was telling me to reforge back into spirit – enter my tirade about spirit being useless I don’t need mana regen blah blah blah…..yeah…you can all laugh at me now.  Spirit = hit for some classes.  What is worse, after the hubby had finished laughing at me I remembered the hundreds of disputes I had seen in LFD because DPSers had taken gear with spirit (boomies and SP’s mainly – I am sure there was another class as well – I want to say shammies??).  How could I forget something so instrumental to the classes?

I guess this is the joy of coming back to a game 12 months later, you do forget things and need to spend time re-learning.  I know I am still trying to learn how to play again, I am better on my mage because I have played her for so long, but with other toons I am really struggling to get into the swing of it.  Heroics are also very hard as most of the time I am running with people who are very well geared and hitting the 180k+ DPS mark, which means mobs die faster than I can cast a spell – on both my mage and my boomy.  It makes it hard to see where I am sitting in reality and harder to judge what I need to improve.

I know on my mage in LFR I can sometimes be in the top 10 for damage and hitting just over 100k DPS, but according to noxxic I should be hitting 250k + dps…as a frost mage at my gear level and that is not maximum – that is realistic….no way!?!?!?!?  I have to spend some time on a dummy and test out wtf I am doing wrong as I am missing out on a lot of dps.  I need to examine combat logs of mages and see what they are doing that I am not.    Anyway, I am sure, like the previous things, there is something I have forgotten to do….I just have to find out what that is!!!

 

 

Paladin got to the top!!

Woot!  My sexy pally chick made it to 90!!  So happy about that, not only because it means I am max level with the frosties and can actually do stuff with them now, but I also scored a sweet arse achievement, which I was no even aware of previously…I wonder if there are more for getting more toons to 90…I should ask Owl, he has like 11 I think he said…complete nutter!!  I couldn’t do it…some classes are just not suitable playing companions for me 🙂

My last part to 90 was spent in dungeons…strangely, Oom said he would come along and when we tried to sign up with him we couldn’t…the LFD system told me he was too high to do normals, and when Oom tried to sign up it said heroics only.  My guess it is ilevel based?  I have to look into it.  I think it is annoying that max levels can’t sign up for normal dungeons….if that is indeed the case.  So, in the end although others had offered to run some normals with me (and forgotten *cough* *cough*) it wouldn’t have mattered anyway.  I will make them pay with heroics though…”sorry I lost my taunt button???”  <insert evil MUHAHAHAHA here>.

Also hubby brought his druid back to Frosties, figured it was easier as it was already in the guild so just did a guild transfer.  He is slowly levelling, I think he is 88 he said?  I was so focused on getting to 90 I was pretty neglectful 😦  But we ran some dungeons together and that helped him get some xp, so all very useful in the end.

I am terrified of having to get my gear sorted, in fact, I spent some time on the Timeless gathering more gear and I basically have a prot set (armour only) and trying to gather enough coins to buy the shield/weapon.  And I spent all the money I had gemming/chanting it up…I am pretty broke now, but thankfully I got to 90 without setting foot in most of the map, so I will just slowly start questing the areas to open up dailies and get me some money to pay for flasks/repairs.

I did create a bank alt so I can offload stuff to the AH and hopefully that will bring in some cash..but it is a slow burn on that.

I asked the Frostie GM what spec my second should be – I have no immediate plans to raid but if I am online and they are short I would rather have my toon ready for it.  Prot will be her main – always has – but he advised DPS was more an issue than heals.  So Ret she is, with her second set of almost complete timeless isle gear, I spent some time on the dummy and was hitting 32k consistently, with half ret/half prot gear, so I think I can potentially increase that without much effort once I start getting gear.  Of course I am nowhere near the hit cap, and my expertise is short of where it needs to be on either set, but I haven’t upgraded any gear yet  (not enough VP) and some of my gear is still really low level.

For reference hit needs to be 7.5% and expertise 15%  – I am apparently slightly over the hit cap…well bugger me…I was sure I was under, which means I can reforge into expertise now and get that sorted 🙂

 

Maging it up…arcane style

So, I finally decided to switch back to arcane on my mage.  I haven’t played arcane since…Wrath..I am pretty sure I switched to fire when I came back to Cata after my break.  I was doing some reading and people were saying fire was pretty awesome, comparable to arcane.

I was never a fan of arcane, I am still not really, the play style doesn’t suit me all that well, however the damage is just hard to let go of.  I have been playing fire for a while and the cauterizing was a pretty nice benefit to have, however given we are starting heroics in the guild I thought perhaps having more consistent DPS would be more useful.

So, in LFD I can pull amazing amounts of DPS when I am focused and doing my thing correctly, but for some reason, I can’t get the same numbers in a raid – again.  I am suffering from the raid leader issue, i think,  of watching my timers so closely and calling things out that I am not as focused as I need to be and burning evocates at a bad time therefore stuffing up my burn phase and blah blah.

However saying that I am enjoying playing arcane again and finding my rhythm.  I want to get more out of her, I have to see if I can fiddle some figures around.

So i changed some enchants, upgraded some bits and then on the test dummies I am consistently sitting at 20-21 dps.  I can’t get any higher.  That’s with only self buffs and without my focus magic.  So…add a little in raid and thats the best I can do at the moment, and no…I am NOT going to waste thousands of dollars on upgrading all my gems to the epic ones…they will get upgraded as I get them off our kills.

I have no idea if that is good, bad or mediocre, but that is the calibre of player I am.  Hrmmm, where did I put that simulation craft ……

Yeah, I suck then…even a bad player can get more DPS than I can get out standing still with no buffs….

I am just going to disappear now and try and figure out what the hell I am doing wrong….Of course I could just listen to my hubby that perhaps playing a mage is not for me…but i refuse to believe that..I love my mage.  My mage is my girl.  I can’t change toons now!!  LOL

 

 

Heroic BoT…wow (and other (drama) stuff)

The plan we have in mind is to kill Sinestra before MoP drops.  An easy enough thing to say on paper…blog…you know what I mean, not so easy in action.

Last night we went into DS to kill DW as we missed him last week, can i say butt kicked.  I thought it would take me longer to get pugs and blah blah.  Anyway, we were done in about 20 minutes.

Let’s take a few moment to talk about the drama of the night though 🙂

Playtime on Ultrax

We went and had a play on Ultrax tonight and it will be interesting to see how the logs come out.  I am not impressed with my DPS as fire – although it can be quite good, the honest truth is that it sucks if the RNG gods are against you.  Tonight I was floating between 18 – 26k dps on attempts and that makes fights like Ultrax a real problem, especially since I seem incapable of getting those awesomely huge numbers that other mages seem to get…

Anyway, was really impressed, the first 5 attempts we had issues just learning the fight and figuring out the fading light debuff, but overall wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.  We were getting him to about 50 % at the midway to enrage point, so we are almost there for DPS..another couple of upgrades for people and we will be very close.  I don’t really know what else we can do other than run FL for some attempted Rags kills, as most of us cannot actually upgrade any gear in FL now thanks to VP and LFR.  But I know I can upgrade a few more things with VP’s…so all in all I think we will have him very very soon and then we should be fine for the rest of it….Fingers crossed 🙂

I am not playing SWTOR as much…I did something stupid – I deleted my main toon…yes I know I used to mock those people as well, but seriously – in WoW your characters stay in the same order on the log in screen…in SWTOr – they move the most recently played to the top…since i had only been playing the one toon I didn’t even notice that until I went to select it to delete it….I selected the position where it has always been and typed away.  My toons looked exactly the same as well as I had created her to be a bank toon and so didn’t really care what she looked like.  Anyway they have not responded to my 3 in game tickets in a week and so i started re-levelling the same toon and basically I am sort of over the game….not that it is boring or anything but…it is just not holding my interest at the moment.

I am feeling a little wow deprived as well and so it has been nice to just be back in WoW doing my think and having some fun.

So hopefully tomorrow night we will have a better idea of the Ultrax fight.

Pallies, mages, gear …OH MY!

What a massive few days I have had in game!  My god!  I just haven’t had chance to post about everything as real life has as usual, taken up time 🙂

This is going to be a long post, and I will update with some piccies later when I get home…however let’s get started shall we…not sure if this is going to be at all chronological, but we shall see how it travels!

2/8 in Dragonsoul :)

We decided to leave the horrible ping pong warlord alone last night!  and we killed the Unsleeping slime.  I must remember these names!!  They need to make easy ones like Bob etc 🙂

Anyway, we did the first boss Morchok again, we forgot to stack on our first attempt and death occurred pretty quickly.  Then we did 3 wipes on the Unsleeping and got him on the fourth.  Fairly good attempt I would think.  We actually got him to like 1% on our second attempt and we just for some reason died…not sure.  However we got there.

So sunday we have to go back to ping pong wanker head and we shall see if we can actually do it this time.  Sunday is out longest raid day so I would like to see everyone be able to get onto the last boss or perhaps even the first of the new four…

I am arcane still on my mage and I am not sure I want to be.  I am considering going fire and actually giving myself more then 20 seconds to get used to the new rotations and stuff.  I mean I have been playing arcane since Wrath and that is a long time to have the rotations and skills burned into the mind…amazing I still suck though after all that time….

I read on MMO-Champ somewhere that a mage with a lower level than myself should be doing more then 28k dps or something and I laughed my arse off….I have no idea how you would get that kind of damage….but I can barely crack 20k and thats only if I am really really focused on my rotations.  I always considered myself a decent player – I mean I stay out of the fire and I do what is needed when I should….however that doesn’t seem to counter balance the weight put on the DPS meters.

Blah!  I don’t care we kickd arse on the boss anyway and we worked well together as a team!!  WOOT!

Mages, druids and everything in between…

I have completely changed my mage to be full fire spec..I figured I may as well give it a shot – worst case I just have to reforge and gem again if I fail.  I am very hit and miss with it at the moment, I would like to see what it is like in a full raid situation as opposed to heroics – which are very hard to judge anyway.

I have played with the dummies but fire is so crit dependant – I will kick arse for a few moments, then next time it will be lack lustre….I need to up my crit a little more…I am aiming for at least 15% haste – or as close to as possible…..I am currently at 13% so I am not unhappy with that.  I do however need to get some more Zandalari’s done so I can collect my tier 12 pieces – i just really dislike them 😀

My druid is finally level 70!!  YAY!  SO I have a shammy and a druid at level 70 now…..I will keep levelling my druid since I am on a roll with her 😀  My dps is terrible on her in heroics…I went into UK before and most were doing 1500 roughly…I was only cracking 1k when I was AOEing….my rotation is fine, so I can only figure it is my gear….which given what I am wearing I would not be surprised at all!!! Now that I am 70 though I will look at some LW patterns and see if there is anything that will last me a few levels…

Years ago, we (being the three GM’s for our old guild) used to wonder why Blizzard didn’t have these guild services already available.  Now they do!!  Not sure why I am excited about it – I don’t have a guild and no intention of doing one again (at the moment) but I think it is pretty sweet that you won’t lose your guild and all the hard work that is put into one. Also kind of cool that you can rename it as well 😀

I guess my thoughts can change though because I signed up for the annual pass thing and there is a new xpac coming out…it’s a tempting thought to entertain….*innocent face*

I am also potentially going to be raid leading for the guild – however I am not entirely sure what my jurisdiction is or what the expectations of the guild are.  So I have to try and catch my GM for 20 minutes so I can discuss it with him and then work out what the guild wants…hopefully we can all find middle ground…somewhere…..he has basically told me to do it, but I don’t want to if I am not going to be able to push certain things like alts and under geared toons vs seeing content and having fun…..but we shall see….watch this space I guess.

Yes Yes, I remember you, I know i have a blog I am updating semi-regularly and yes I know I need to actually get the time to post..but honestly so busy this last week -I just wanted to get focused!!  Please don’t blame me!!

Cataclysmically superior

Last night was a killer!!!

My guild was heading in to firelands to give the boss a couple of shots -nothing major but it was good fun 🙂

I tagged along as they were short people and although my gear is not all the way ready, they were not expecting anything huge.

I found that I was managing to keep up with some of the dps, well enough for someone with half blue gear anyway! Fully raid buffed I was able to max about 15-16k dps on single target (average was 11k) and I was getting about 25-30k on aoe….I was rather chugged at my efforts 🙂  There were of course other dps doing over 20k and I was just in awe…one day maybe….

The boss, shannox, was all over the place and completely nuts 🙂 definitely need to work out a strat for him beforehand instead of on the fly, but it was fun to see a raid and play with some angry mobs 🙂

I had fun though, made me miss the raiding to be honest! I do enjoy working like a team with 9 other people….

Anyway when we finished I discovered I needed 70 more valor points to get my wand updated!!!! One heroic run!!! Which meant I got the superior achievement! Yay! My ilvl is now 352 so I am pretty sure I can raid with that, we will be trying to pug something this weekend I think, it will depend on the time I have available this weekend.

Oh, I also maxed out my cooking yesterday as well 🙂  2 down, too many more to go 🙂  Tailoring is at 490…I am so close to having that finished then I will just use all my cloth on first aid, then AH 😀  I am not worrying about fishing at the moment, just doing the dailies every day..if i get bored i might focus on it…

All in all, I think in 2 weeks I have done a fair bit to improve my toon, and i do wonder what I a going to do when I have finished doing that…..

Tanking on my pally :D

Went for my first heroic last night, actually 5 of them, was the first time since being back online.  We queued up the other night but I got HoR and I can’t do that just yet, I am not confident with my tanking so even contemplate that run.  Certainly not as my first heroic back after 4 months anyway 😀

So last night we got VH to start – mmm nice and easy, then UP, Gundrak, HoS  and then Nexus.  Did quite well for forgetting to put up righteous defence in VH until the last portal 😀  Had one group of mobs go everywhere, but the group we were running with was doing just under 1.5k dps, which meant it was tough to keep up with the portals, but hubby was there doing 4-5k dps and picking up the slack…..we got there in the end 😀

I messed up a little with mob management, I just don’t have enough mana – i think I am wearing too much warrior gear and not enough pally gear…will see if it is worth fixing 😀 and I am not able to get aggro on all the mobs in group pulls quickly enough and then when the DPS lay in at the same time I am losing a mob occassionally… but no one died to a loose mob, which is good, I stayed out of the fire and I was managing to get the loose ones back pretty quickly….

More practice is needed.  Hubby reckons I am a better tank than I was ever a mage, and he reckons I shoudl switch full time, but I am just not sure if I can let go of my mage – she is my collector toon and has all my achievements and I don’t want to lose that….but maybe for raiding I would be better as a tank?  I do enjoy it immensley – as much as playing my mage – hence why I am so torn I think 😀 

I also have my warrior as well which I could tank on, and given they are saying they are bringin back crowd control, perhaps my warrior would be better – no mana management to worry about and aweseom threat on single mobs…hrmmmm…..I do love my warrior as well….GAH!!!  I SUCK!!!

POWA!!!!

After spending a few hundred dollars and regemming some of my gear – I am now sitting pretty on 3008 Spell damage!!!  When i self buff with Arc Int it goes up to 3018 😀  That does not include potions/food, raid buffs!!!

AM SOOOO EXCITED!!?!?!?!!?!?

Will be cool to see if it makes any difference to my raiding.  I also ditched thwe Maghari’s Staff for the Frost needle with Scourgelord’s Baton, so that bumped up my stats huge amounts.  The only problem is I am now sitting on 462 hit rating!!  So I am going to make very sure the next piece of gear I take does not have hit on it…I may just scream to be honest!!

My Pally is no longer an evil hordie :)

Yes I switched her, I will likely move my warrior horde side and make her my first ever male character, although I am not entirely sure about that yet 🙂   I might finish my hunter that is sitting on a US time server though – not sure yet 😀

Anyway – here is the new girl, yes I went spacegoat again 🙂 I like the tails ok!!?!?!

She is fully Prot now, and I am working on her tier 9 gear so I can start pugging the ICC stuff, I have 2 more of the badge pieces to try and get and to be honest if we have an alt run through ICC any time soon for the first four bosses I may see if I can snaffle her a shot 😀

I was tanking some normal runs yesterday – non heroic – to try and get back into the swing of it, made a few mistakes etc, but no one was taking aggro off me and a few of them were trying their damn hardest.  I really feel sorry for actual tanks (which may be me at Cata).  People just don’t get it 😀

It was fun to be on her again, I really enjoy tanking I have to admit.  I like it on my warrior as well, I just think AOE tanking is such less a hassle on the pally 😀 But I am pretty good with my warrior as well I think.  A little more practice and I may be good at it !!  LOL

Yes, you heard me!! I am going to change frost faster than you can say “frost?” yes!! YES I AM!!!!

All because Blizz are making it uber sexy with brain freeze being able to use FFB 🙂 Yes, means uber nice DPS with the frosty spells on it. I will keep my spec as it is, I like the fact that I still get focus magic with it. I will also track down that macro that uses waterbolt and frostbolt at the same time to apparently increase dps…I have no idea where I read that recently…LOL…hang on lemme track it down 😀

I am of course going to have to look at my gear choices again if want to do that, as I wll need to stack different stats, but I will worry about that next week 😀

Anyway I have wanted to be frost forever, and I know my guild will hate me for it, but seriously I have not enjoyed arcane at all, i hate playing arc even though it gives you massive DPS….I find it a horrible spec to play 😦 Yes I am being selfish! After 5 years playing this game I think I am allowed to be!!

warrior stuff again

shield slam > revenge > shockwave > conc blow > devastate.

There are several different hit caps.
The melee hit cap causes all your single weapon auto attacks to always hit and causes all special melee attacks to always hit. This is reached at 8%.
The spell hit cap causes all your spells to always hit. This is reached at 17%.
The dual wield hit cap causes all your dual wield auto attacks to always hit. This is reached at 27%

Hit is almost a pure threat stat, it causes your attacks to hit more, and thus it makes you do more threat. There should be a reasonable amount of hit available on tank gear, but you shouldn’t gem or enchant for it.
The only time you should ever worry about hit caps is if you need to taunt something. If you glyph taunt, and the boss is properly debuffed (Improved Faerie Fire – Spell – World of Warcraft or Misery – Spell – World of Warcraft), you need 6% additional spell hit chance to always hit with yout taunt. This is 158 hit rating.

Note that taunt is based off of spell hit, and that you get more spell hit chance from your rating then that you get melee hit chance.

Expertise
Expertise governs two things. The chance a mob has to dodge you and the chance a boss has to parry you.
You negate the mobs chance to dodge you when you reach 6.5% dodge and parry reduction at 26 expertise skill.
You negate the mobs chance to parry you when you reach 14% dodge and parry reduction at 56 expertise skill.

A note on hit and expertise.
For both hit and expertise, the general thing to remember is this: “If you do enough threat, you don’t need more of them. It is important, though, to realize that having more of either of them will make your threat less spiky. While this effect is minor, having a string of misses at the beginning of a fight can cause someone to grab aggro.
My advice would be to not worry about getting to either cap, but not completely ignoring the stat either. Gemming or enchanting for hit or expertise shouldn’t be needed

Ony 25 man and old skool.

Last night was a very interesting raid night for me.  In brief we went to Ony 25, Gruuls, Mags, Sunwell and then OS 10 with 3 drakes.

Ony 25 went well the second attempt, no one died and we got some achievements since I hadn’t done it in 25 man before 😀  So that is always nice 🙂 Have scored a fairfew achievements overall the last week, I am loving it!

We wiped the first time as the guild seems to have an overly excitable character – reminiscent of Tobio – who thinks that pulling whelps and dragging the boss on a false start is a funny way to play the game. Not so for most of us, who don’t enjoy that kind of play time.  We don’t get a lot of time to play so I find it annoying when I have to spend time running back for my corpse.  Anyway after the initial wipe because said person kept going to the caves and dragging more whelps even during the fight, no idea how we even got as far as we did to be honest.  As mentioned second attempt when raid leader went a little aggro at him was much better, nice and smooth.

We then went to Mags and gruuls for those who didn’t do it back in BC. Someone kept agrooing mags and false starting us, which was annoying as well, then someone pulled Gruul while only 5 or so people were in the room, they managed to kill him as well!!  Can’t believe both those fights used to be so hard and would wipe raids for weeks   Mags was dead before we even had to click the cubes…that’s how fast he died…..

We then trolled over to Sunwell for a looksie, was fun as, we bugged out Kalcegos due to someone being outside the circle, then we got Brutallis down and were playing on felmyst – she wiped us twice i think and I am not so sure we would have gotten her down, she was tough!  I want to go back to Sunwell !!  I was having so much fun!

A fair few had to leave at that point so when we got back to Dal we got a group happening fro OS 10 man with 3 drakes, we pugged a couple of people who left after each attempt, and we were getting her to 10% each time.

My new GM’s both brought in their mages and gave me crap about having such low DPS, one even commenting that my gear was better than what was being shown on the meters. So I decided to prove to them I sucked and I whipped out my arcane mage talents….and it backfired, I hit 5k DPS on the next attempt compared to the 3k I was barely doing as FFB.  So they both started whispering me tips, hints, rotations etc and I got completely overwhelmed. I have to fix my glyphs and change my gear fi I seriously want to give arcane a shot, but I have to admit I was almost beating one of our best hunters and that was feeling good….the other 2 mages were hitting 7k DPS and i want to do that kind of damage!!  So I guess I am going to have to look through my gear and see what i can change out for some other stuff.  I am also going to have to learn how to play  mage – ie what gear I need to go for, food etc.

So I will be researching today at lunch and then some when i get home!

I am slightly excited – all this in the week when I have been able to just sit back and enjoy the company!  I Love it! I may actually be able toplay my mage again like I used to and be proud of my knowledge.
