Working 9-5

Such a busy morning, I didn’t sleep very well so was up well before I should have been! I decided I wanted to focus on my professions a little and stop avoiding the things I knew I had to get done.

Finally, maxxed my fishing, I had been sitting at something like 580 so I just had to get off my butt and do those last 20 points!!

I then stupidly decided to try and sort out my cooking. I am appalled to admit this, but blizzard have failed on this one. I am not normally one to dis the blizz – I am obsessed with their game, I generally try and be positive and understand the decisions they make.  But pandaren cooking = fail of epic proportions!

I need more iron paw tokens, I needs hundreds of vegetables and hundreds of meats/fish and I only have 16 plots which give me  bunches of 5. That is not cool, fun or interesting.  I spent 3.5k on the AH today and I still only have about half the mats I need for each of the specialised cooking. Never mind my actual cooking is not 600 because the masts required are stupidly ridiculous.

I did get some achievements for increasing my cooking skills a little bit:

I think iron chef in Japan would be easier to win than maxing my cooking!

I managed to complete the quest for the deluxe noodle cart which unlocked a scenarios and another even more impossible noodle cart!  The scenario would have been more fun, if it had worked properly – food wasn’t going to the people I clicked and, or it just wouldn’t get thrown, people wouldn’t sit down and the entire experience was more frustrating than anything else.  After the annoyance of not being able to actual level, spending so much money and getting barely any fish from pools and the crappy scenario, I admitted defeat! I do not know if and when I will be able to max my cooking.

after the cooking I decided to focus on my inscription on my priest, double score with this one as I helped the guild as well!

Our little toons

A long, long, time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, three friends created little toons on a server with the intention of just running around together and eventually levelling. The server was Durotan and was our home before the Galactic Oceanic Server nexus was opened.  The toons were levelled to 27 and then left there, forgotten, unloved and unplayed as our main toons moved to new homes, new guilds and new adventures.

Today we logged into them, they are still in a guild together with no one else there of course 🙂  We had 13 gold between us!  I am playing a holy priest, hubby a frost mage and Cay a prot warrior.  We created them with the intent to always just be chasing DPS toons for 5 man runs.

We got them to level 32 today just by running some dungeons, we also got a few guild achievements and are 13% through the guild level.  We shall see how far we get them.

It was fun to be running on them again, it has been a very very long time and in fact those toons are what gave us the idea to start our first guild up all those years ago – in a round about kind of way!

We may be raiding tonight, so I may post again, but I was so excited about these toons I just had to put something up here now. I just wish I had gotten a photo of the three of us.

 

Level 70 Priesticle!

 

Well she is 72 now, but I thought I should post her progress 🙂

I am a fail priest!  I do not really get the Shadow priest play style. My husband is devastated i am finding it so hard given he plays one very well.

He has been trying to teach me, and I am picking it up slowly.  It is hard to tell how well i am actually doing because my gear is so bad. I handed in some quests last night and the ilevel was bout 100 points different.  I did see a boost in DPS with just 3 pieces replaced.

Since we haven’t played our horde toons in a while I had to find another toon to level and that ended up being my priest. I would like to get my shammy finished since she is soooo close to 85!

Anyway I am having fun and that is the main thing.  I wonder how many toons I can get to 85 by the time MoP comes out. The way I am going I will have my priest, shammy and hunter done.  Then to consider the elusive lock, rogue and DK…not really sure I can level any of them to 85…heheh

Pretty excited about both my toons at the moment, my shammy cracked 80 today!!!

I am so excited to be actually seeing her levelled as I knew she was feeling very neglected sitting at the Bornean tundra doing nothing.

Hubby and I will hopefully have those guys finished in a fortnight. He has been enjoying levelling his pally so it has been enjoyable for both of us.

My priest also hit 60 the other day, which was exciting. For some reason I always feel that 60 is the halfway point in levelling, I get excited when I hit that hurdle 🙂

I am playing her at work for the most part as I have nothing else to do, I spend most of my Monday doing all the work I need to do and then just cruise for the rest of it.

I am pretty excited by the progress I am making on my toons!

Heirlooms are the shizz!

I am going to put it out there right now, if you are trying to level alts and you haven’t got them kitted out with full heirlooms, you are nuts!!

I am luckily in a 25 level guild so I get the perks as well, added to the 4 pieces of heirloom gear whih provide XP bonuses and  the levelling is insanely fast!

I have been playing my priest today I logged on at about 10.30am at level 51 and I am over halfway to 56 at 2.40pm.

I would be going faster except I am levelling at work and have phones to answer, however this is awesome!  I would love to be running dungeons as I think that would slaughter my xp as well, I may try and do a run shortly and see if i get interrupted :0) I don’t want to take the risk that someone comes into the actual shop for help.

The point is – get yourself the heirlooms! Use your darkmoon faire or justice points or gold or whatever you can and wear them!

Kicking it old school!

Convert to Raid – my favourite podcast have created a guild on Korgath PVP server with the intent to be a classic raiding guild.

I love this idea and have signed up 🙂  There are details/rules on their website about it!

I have created another priest – so I can switch between healing and DPS if needed.

I thought I would throw it out there for all you raiders – Check it out.  My priest is called Elfling 🙂

I have been jumping on the occassional LFG with my priestie, and she is now level 39!!

I am pretty excited, and I have tio admit running constant LFG is not the way to gear her, but it is better than questing through tarren Mill and STV again!!  LOL

She is level 40 now!! YAY!!

Will consider switching her to the horde and onto my mains realm shortly I think, so I can help with gear and professions levelling :G  Plus I need all the silk for my mage to hand in for BB rep 🙂 heeheheh

Taking the good with the bad

I was speechless earlier today..completely….I decided to jump on my level 33 priest this afternoon and do a couple of runs with the LFG thing…

you know it is going to get bad right about now right?

I am in there, trying to facemelt things, running dry with mana and thinking I was having an alright time, until some dickhead in the party – says “What’s with the priest they just leeching xp?”  to which I said nothing…I was WTF-ing at my monitor.

He then goes on to say – “priest doing 0 DPS”

I then say :

“I didn’t realise I was meant to be a fucking expert at this level”

his response was “you’re doing zero dps”

“I hate selfish people like this priest!”

and then thsy started spamming recount on me and I was doing like 78 dps…so according to that i was doing 78 more points of DPS than was quoted by dickwad…

But what annoys me is wtf is dps at lvl 33? It was SM library FFS…..did you want me doing 10k dps already? I have like 5 spells to use, 3 of which don’t get any benefit in low level places where mobs are dying before 2 ticks have gotten off…..

It has really annoyed me!!
