Shado-Pan and challenges

WOOT!!  Shado-pan exalted!!  Pretty excited to be honest – how could you not be after everything.

However the gorgeous mounts you get for exalted rep are a must have.  I bought them all (of course) and aside from the issue I have with the tail, they are very nice to look at – remember I am completely in love with any pussy cat mounts!

I also did the Defender of the gods quest and scored the grey cloud mount, which is pretty nice, but I still prefer my blue one.

This now puts me at 54 reputations at exalted.  I am currently still working on August Celestials (grrr) and have started working on my Anglers rep currently Friendly I think, I also have Klaxxi and Kirin Tor at Revered – but haven’t been doing the dailies for them much, I am just needing to do something else for a little bit.  I am using my farm to do August Celestials and Klaxxi/Kirin for the moment.  I do want to get back into the dailies, but some of them (kirin tor) take sooo long with so many quests it drives me slightly batty.

Shared topic – Mountable Mounts

This topic was brought to you by, me!!  YAY!!  [ insert ping back ].

One of the things I have noticed since my return is the huge amount of mounts available now through rep gains. I am still working on a couple, but it has made me wonder which mounts you guys are loving or hating 

So what are your top 5 mounts – or just the ones you go to all the time because you like the way they ride? What are the ones you really dislike and can never bring yourself to use – does it rub against your collecting nature (if you have one) to buy all the mounts even though you know you will never use them?

The story behind this topic is quite short so, let me give it to  you.  I finally reached exalted for Golden Lotus and thought to myself that one of those sexy riding cranes would be awesome….so I went and bought one, awesome looking thing that it is….sadly..it is absolutely horrific to ride. The way it moves is just completely irritating, however, even after trying the first one, I had to buy the rest of them and try them, just to make sure they all sucked.  Yup, I could not let 2 other mounts be uncollected even though I hate it.   So who is the idiot who dropped 4k on mounts even though she will never ever use them?

The only exception to this rule is the $14k mammoth.I refuse to pay that much money for a mount that I despise almost as much as the cranes.  I was so excited to get a mammoth, they looked awesome, imposing and just fantastic….shame that riding one made me want to punch my monitor :p I still love looking at them even now!

I put the Elekks in the same group as mammoths, although not quite as extreme hatred, I won’t willingly choose to use them 9and I did buy all of them when I could).

But in truth, I like more mounts than I dislike…I can never decide what to use, I need to download the addon that randomly chooses them for you, I loved always being surprised with choice.  But here are some pictures of my favourite ones. I turn to these guys all the time and really should give them a rest occasionally 🙂  Tigers/sabres are my absolute favourite, I was devastated when I discovered I couldn’t get one without being exalted – back in WoW, when getting exalted took the entire cloth supply of Azeroth!  Now I have many many many tiger mounts 🙂

I also fell in love with this little beauty and did not stop until I had him…which reminds me I have so many more I need to collect at the Argent tournie still…but it just terrifies me!!

I do love bears as well, I have many of them as well, I love the lop sided run they do…

Of course anything draconic for flying…I have so many dragons I could not possibly put them all up, but here are my most treasured ones:

I still want to 25 man version of the above one, but have a few achievements I need…maybe one day I will get them done…when I am level 100 and it is a cake walk….

I adore the way the tail moves on this mount, it is very hypnotic, and the way the light changes the colours, honestly it is just amazes me at how beautiful they made them!!  I could go one…but I would just end up listing everything…Some special mentions have to go to the Talbuks…they are a very nice ride!

Can’t get no….satisfaction

I wonder if I am showing my age, or music preference, by the title and image??  Anyway,  Last night was pretty limited game time, just doing my dailies on my mage..stupid august Celestials!!  I am going to scream like a crazy woman!!  I am even doing the Tiller daily for the extra rep with both Shadow Pan and August Celestials.  I just want the pattern for that stupid bag!!

Both me and hubby on his tailor, have been making cloth every single day so we can make some bags when we get the pattern, but it is seriously going to cause me mental breakdown.

I think I have just hit revered with Shadow Pan – Woot for extra rep token and I am just into honoured for the Celestials…HONOURED!!??!!!?  GAHHHH!!!!  At  this rate I will be exalted by the time Warlords comes out… :p  In truth though, I think I have done really well to get my reps up as much as I have since being back at the start of December.  I really don’t know how you guys – or anyone – managed to get to exalted with them!!  I really don’t!!  Tips appreciated!!

I really want to start working on my Anglers and I should try and get the last bit of the Klaxxi done – I have extra rep now so it really wouldn’t take all that long, anyway every night it depends on my time available…how many quests I can get done in between everything else I need to get done.

On a side note, I bought my hubby they Fey Dragon mount as a present 🙂  He was mentioning how he liked it so I sent it to him as the pack with the brew dog.  We may have missed the Make-a-wish donation, but it was still cheaper to buy the set.  I have been asking me to send me pictures, I am sure all you obsessed people will understand why…and the pictures he has been sending me are completely impossible….the first two examples you will find below…and after I advised him to send me a picture with the actual dragon in it, he finally did 🙂

I did giggle….not a collector or obsessive blogger but I appreciated the effort he put in, he could have chosen not to send me images, which I may have had to kill him for later!  This is one of the next pictures i got, which is much better!!

Raid Team, guilds and throwing down

So, after some pretty heavy recruiting, we managed to get the last few spaces filled in what will hopefully be our core team for raiding.

As it stands though, I have 2 more people that need to start getting focused on their gear, with another 2 at just below the 460 point and the rest of us in full 463 gear.

Not too bad, however I had hoped that we would have been raiding by now.  The plan is now hopeful for Wednesday and at that point, I will start recruiting over those not ready.  It has been well and truly long enough for everyone to get geared and ready, if the GM can level an entirely new toon and be ready I will not believe that other people cannot do 5 levels and gear in the same amount of time.  To me that shows a distinct lack of dedication to the progression focus we want to have.

I don’t want to be server first and beating other guilds etc, but I don’t want to be waiting around for months before we set foot in there either.  I do want us to be ready so go in, do well and lay some smackdown.  A friend GM from another guild was telling me about their attempts in MV and I was amazed – they have a raid tested and proven raid team and they are dealing with laziness, how in hell will we do.  We have a largely untested raid team – all seemingly good players in heroics and in LFR – aside from me – so how will we go as a group.

This is one of the reasons I want to get in there ASAP, if people can’t handle it, I want to know sooner rather than later.  I want to make sure we get the best group we can. I want to be like the Frosties (who i miss immensely) and be getting heroic final boss kills for mounts and achievements. I don’t want to be scraping for kills an xpac later.

Small things weighing on my mind huh ?!??

In other news though, the guild is a smidge off getting to level 25!!  When I logged off last night it was 82% through level 24, so it may even happen today if we are lucky.

I have done no pet battles, in fact the idea of having to level my actual pets makes me want to cry.  As far as I can tell, and I have been so focused on raiding plans I have ignored reading everything else, I have to move my pets to areas of the same level…but really…effort – not something I have at the moment with that 🙂

Dailies.  Yes I have been Mrs Slack when it comes to those little buggers!  I was diligent the first few days and did ALL of them, but now…I am just not even doing any – mainly because I am trying to get heroics happening to get people gear, and doing runs for people as well.  I spent a couple of hours last night chasing the Lorewalkers thing instead of doing “important” dailies :p  But I now have a cloud to fly around on!!  I shall probably seriously start my dailies again this week.  Maybe.  …  possibly.

I also got over my fear of starting a PUG group and organised one for Sha of Anger.  Well really i just invited a bunch of people who then took over and I really couldn’t be bothered arguing.  But hey, I started it instead of not…so kudos to me 🙂  I was a little mortified when they started booted everyone below 90 and abusing them for being moochers and they should be leveling instead of trying to get loot off raid bosses.

So close but so far away

I was having a chat with hubby last night, it seems we are not likely going to get a 25 man ICC off the ground before MoP hits, and I am sad.  I only need a few achievements in there, not even heroics.  So I am going to have to spend today as much as possible trolling trade chat and hoping a group forms up.  I could always start one myself, but I am not that great with a complete group of random strangers…one or two is fine….I am happy with my 10 man version – I am, but the 25 man is closer to the one in the video and what captured my heart all those years ago.

I am going to have to see what I can organise as I only have a little bit of time left.  I also want to find a consistent 5 man group to help get the achievements for the heroics, because I have not done any of them at all.  It would be nice to run a couple of heroics each night and get a couple done for that mount, but you need a solid group who can do it together at the same pace to make it easier for others…or..let me rephrase – screw everyone else I need 4 people consistently who can drag me through :p LOL

Then of course there is ULD 10 – I want that mount as well, I never seem to see a 10 man group running always 25 man.  IN theory I could get both of the ULD and ICC ones done in one day – but the heroic dungeon one will take me longer…do I have enough time and luck on my side? I wonder how many poeple I need to get the Uld ones done – I mean worst case scenario…I think for razor you would need more for the DPS..I have to check which ones I actually need with that meta 🙂

I have to do the grocery shopping now, and then some laundry when I get home, then cooking of the week’s lunches, so after all that…I may be able to get something done 🙂 heheeh  Sure Sure 🙂

I am not saying I would not love the others done as well, but I came back midway through Cataclysm and I feel slightly undeserving of anything in here, especially since I ran with a guild that couldn’t do the content..I don’t want to be stuck like that again, I want to see it all and do it all in moP.  I want to get the achievements and the mounts and I know once again that won’t happen because we have people now who don’t want to rehash content the second it is no longer valid.  This breaks my heart that I am always always putting up my boots for other people.  I never get to do what I want to do – which is farm old shit until all my achievements are done and collect everything I can and be doing it with people who also want to do it, so I don’t feel like I am dragging them kicking and screaming with me.  OH WOE!!

Today – there is nothing I can say.  NOTHING!

I was inspired to run it on most of my toons until I finally won the roll 🙂 Thank the Blizzard gods for account mounts is all I can say.

I tried to get the original one I don’t know how many times, I am still annoyed I never got it – so this has made me somewhat happy.  I could not stop grinning like a madman!  Thanks for those involved and thanks for getting me inspired before dinner to continue doing it until I had it!

DS raiding Hiatus

Our guild lost one of our tanks during the week and although not a major issue now given I am quite a capable tank, it has helped make the decision to place DS raiding on the back burner.

Between now and MoP we intend to raid wednesday nights doing older content – ICC 10 and 25 man mount achievements and possibly Ulduar.  We also want to try and get some guild runs done like BWD and BoT etc, for the achievements.  I wonder if I can convince the guys to do Firelands for some legendaries perhaps???

So although we are not doing DS, we still plan to do things every week.  In theory if we can get through ICC and Ulduar in 2 weeks (if we are achievement lucky) it will mean a few people have some damn awesome mounts and we can spend some time in FL getting me my embers – maybe we should do that 25 man for more embers?

For those that read my blog and may be interested in coming along we raid at 7.30 pm Australia Eastern Standard time (AEST) – HORDE.  These are runs focused on the mount achievements – so if you are interested please comment here or tweet me.  As it stands we will be short about 3 people regularly, possible more on each night for a 10 man group and heaps more for a 25 man group :p

I am pretty sure this coming Wednesday will be ICC  – no idea on the size as yet – probably 10 man unless we get an influx of people wanting to do 25 man.

We cleared the rest of DS last night, overall was a pretty smooth run, one new person in that hadn’t seen the fights, but quick explanations later and we were done.

We wiped on ultraxion and one madness (at 8%). Grrr! We did pretty good dps as well, I am still disappointed with my output and really struggling to find the issue. I do wonder if I am comparing my expected figures to those wearing heroic gear too much again?

Purple Nurples and other addictions :D

Sorry for all the transmog posts lately….I blame JD 🙂  Yes yes!!

Tonight, I transmogged another olympic outfit…the Javelin, but whilst trolling around transmog sites and gear, I found the set I wanted for my warrior….the Revenant set!  All purple and  I chased down some quests which rewarded the items and I have to farm two bosses for my shoulders (Omor in Hellfire ramparts – who didn’t give it up tonight) and Kael in MgT – who I have to kill but can’t be bothered doing right now!  Thanks to McT for all the help he gave me and fantastic mogging talk 🙂

Of course my only issue is a mace now..all the ones I like are from heroic ICC or FL…so I have to lower my preferences 🙂  heheh  But i am calling him the purple nurple!!!

Onto other things, I took my Druid into LFR to heal…and I sucked…I really just don’t get druid healing…although I have only done it a couple of times so perhaps I am being too harsh on myself.  I may just give up on the healing.

My rogue is now level 20 and has riding skills 🙂  This makes me happy as running around it just killing my will to live.  I am not sure how far she will go, but anything is possible.

Hubby got his druid to 84 this morning, and we are currently on our pally/shammy combo trying to get them to 85 as they are fully rested now.  Funny tangent, we had them in a guild which no one ever spoke in – over 400 members and I think I had seen people speak in guild chat once…when I joined about 6 months ago.  So we left that guild today because we just got sick of the silence even when trying to get a conversation started.  About 1.5 minutes after leaving the guild, we get a guild invite to the same guild!!! A generic whisper saying our guild is looking for members, join us type thing, so we both messaged back something much less polite than “we just left your crap guild”.  I did giggle.

We are considering moving the 2 of them over to Dath to be with the frosties…not that we have discussed raiding at all, however hubby did mention that 2 raiding resto druids may not work so he needs another toon option (resto druid because I waffle about Navimie too much I think)….I find this interesting for 2 reasons :

1 – I may be able to convince him to raid if the team is not as unco as he currently experiences.

2 – I have not mentioned raiding at all except that they progressed well and seem to be quite competant.

I felt a little twinge of excitement when he said that because it gave me some hope. I may be able to raid with him horde side again…somewhere!! I had a happy!

My mage is feeling very unloved at the moment, and I do feel bad for her. I might try and do an olympic transmog for her now and see if I can’t give her some loving.

It’s raining mounts…and pets…hallelujah it’s raining mounts!

Yes it is, I have been meaning to update the last few days and honestly, I have just been so focused on getting the few things done that I needed for the following fantastic show of mounts 🙂

Stupid = Stupid :)

Yup, another grand ole post about my inability to use the soft grey matter embedded in some cavity on the top of my body.

I am sooo close on my three toons to getting a mount each from the darkmoon faire, my mage being only 9 tickets off now, my druid is about 15 off and my pally about 60 off (so admittedly not that close).

However, I did all my darkmoon faire stuff on my three toons when it came out so I could bump them up another notch.  Then realised the next day, stupidly…that the dailies award a prize ticket as well….DUH!!!  Really?!!?  I have spent months just doing the main quests and never going back for the dailies and wondering why I was so far behind on the pets and mounts…..but somewhere in my head I knew they gave tickets…i just…forgot it temporarily?

Brain failure!

What I find so funny though,  is my fantastic plan to actually level my druid professions to the magical 75 mark for fishing, cooking and first aid so i could do the profession quests…after how many months of the DMF?? She was the only toon I didn’t have them even started on.  I do, however, refuse to do archaeology on any other toons…it was hard enough on my mage!!

So after feeling like a complete nuffy for a) not utilizing the professions quests, I was b) not even doing the dailies for 7 days to get the most tokens…I am now – hopefully on track for getting my mounts and pets next month on my toons.

How many fish?

So in the last couple of weeks since hubby has been sick with pneumonia, when I am needed to be near him for whatever reason I have been fishing on my laptop and hanging out with him watching TV.

I have fished up stacks of fish, I have lost count and have yet to fish up the turtle mount!

I think it is going to be my elusive mount! How many fish did you guys catch before scoring the big one?

I got me a Violet Drake!

I only had one more day to get it and I did not want to miss out this year 🙂  I always fail because of the PVP achievements you need for Children’s week, not being a big PVPer, I have no res gear and no PVP skills 🙂  I was getting really annoyed after constant failure that I was crying in guild chat.  A guildie offered to help me out and as you can see from the above – we were successful!

4/4 matches as well, got to every single one of them.  WSG was a worry as not one horde person came to get our flag until about 1 minute left on the game so we smashed him and got my last one.  I also got the damage control achievement in AB for doing 300k damage in one match.  I never thought I would see that achievement, so I was a little chuffed with myself – seriously, I normally spend an entire game dead or ressing – so to get any damage was pretty impressive for me!

The Violet put me at 99 mounts, so I logged off to check the armoury and see what I was missing for the last one to get to 100, and discovered that I hadn’t bought all the nether wing drakes, I was missing two of them 🙂  So Bam!  Another achievement today as well 🙂  4 new mounts in total, and a new title and lots of achievements!  Was so much fun.

I then decided to take my poor unloved druid to LFR and won a necklace on her- YAY, and I also discovered that I bought a wrong tier piece as the 2 set bonus isn’t working because I have one boomy and one resto piece – yes I feel like a right royal twat and am so embarrassed about it 🙂  So I have to fix that ASAP!!  My poor baby girl.

 

 

Enter Ironbound Proto Drake

I have had a dreadful flu for the last week and so have not really been doing anything much other than levelling lowbie alts that take no brain power.

I have also been running countless heroics with the hubby to get one of his other toons LFR ready (YAY) so we can run it together  now on a couple of alts.  All my toons got a workout, I tanked a couple – and decided i was not really well enough to continue with it, so went back to my boom chicken and/or mage.

What a massive few days I have had in game!  My god!  I just haven’t had chance to post about everything as real life has as usual, taken up time 🙂

This is going to be a long post, and I will update with some piccies later when I get home…however let’s get started shall we…not sure if this is going to be at all chronological, but we shall see how it travels!

Less Rabi

The one achievement that strikes fear into my heart.  I really don’t know how many times I tried to get this achievement done.  Every time I went into Gundrak – we attempted it – and every time we failed.  I can’t say I chased it…I figured that one day it would happen…..That day was yesterday.  After our successful raid, i asked if anyone was up for it…..and off we went…

Day 5: Favourite item in game

My favourite item in game took me a while to come up with, because I have so many items I love – I am a collector after all!

My hyacinth macaw comes in first though.

It took me about 3 hours of solid farming on those damn boats in Booty bay, but I screamed like a crazy woman with cats!

Of course the choices were my elemental mage staff, captured firefly, Seeker Title (is that an item?) or my furbolg trinket which summons a healing dude.

Of course the frost wyrm you get when you kill the lich king would be a dream come true and would be the item I don’t have that is my favourite….anyone wanna help me get it??  heheh

Yup, finally got it!!

I spent about 2 hours the other night trying to to get to Exodar to do the final table, but for some reason I just kept doing things wrong. I kepy drowning of fatigure trying to get to teldrassil, kept forgetting to use my water walking potion The the guards would be kill me before I had a chance to get onto the boat once I got onto Teldrassil, being they are level 85 now I must have managed to just run the exact path that gathered them all.

In the end I begged my husband to come with me so he could sacrifice himself and attract the guards whilst I ran through….We did this quote successfully and he said to me “Um what was so hard about that???” and I just felt so dumb……until I noticed him at a third health and shielded and healing…ahhhh so it was almost death for you as well…..hehehe

Anyway I am glad I got it done, means I have another pet, and another title 😀

I have also collected all the new tabards for the main cities – except undercity i think…I need to find their quartermaster, but pretty cool that I have a bunch of new tabards to wear. I don’t need the rep – except for the new Bilgewater Cartel obvioulsy once Cata drops. I am hoping they create some new achievements for collectors as we have gone stale – although I do still need to work on my mount one…I am 83 of 100….
