Hey Guys,

I don’t really know what else to say except thanks to everyone and to all the friends I made through my blog and in game. I am cancelling my subscription tonight again. This has not been the first time this has happened, but I don’t honestly see us taking it back up at any point again.
This time feels more final to me.
I honestly don’t have the time to play anymore, and my life only seems to get more busy as each week goes along.
I will still be around the internet though – you can find me on twitter @dragonray as I will likely delete my @azerothianlife twitter. You can also find me at Facebook – message me if you want to add me and I will send you the profile link. I will leave this blog here, so you can contact me via the methods available here.
There are some people – I am sure you know who you are – that mean the world to me and I appreciate everything you have done for me!
Good luck fighting the beasties guys!!! Have a great time in game and remember life is always more important than a virtual world.
/ farewell
Into a cave somewhere in the swamp of sorrows to hide from people and the world in general.
Since I last posted my world has been turned upside down again, and so I have basically not been able to get online – nor have I even had the inclination in all honesty.
This is a very long post but I wanted it here as a reminder of my WoW life. Feel free to have a gander.
Kill me!!!! KILL ME NOW!!!
I had about 3 hours to play with 5.0.4 before I went away for the weekend, suffice it to say I am now a week behind everyone else who has been playing and re-learning their classes. Also having the time to read up about their changes etc.
Let’s start with my mage – it’s screwed. I stuck with arcane just for the hell of it, and I think I understand my rotation, but I can’t perform it. Things light up and I get distracted and hit them when I shouldn’t and it is all just bad. I am also trying to figure out this one spell that seems to last about 15 seconds and I keep needing to re-apply on the mob…I don’t get it…just yet.
I have yet to try fire or frost, as my gear was weighted for Arcane, I may play with the other styles to just see which suits me better. My fingers are crossed for frost, I want my water elemental!!
My Druid: I am loving the changes to boomy so far that I have figured out with the brief time I have played. We have stuff we can do whilst moving that isn’t pointless, and we seem to moving phases with eclipse much faster because of those changes. It is much nicer now and doesn’t feel as restrictive. I love the armoured boomy and the stag as well, awesome! I don’t play resto, but I do adore seeing the original trees around again – I do have a soft spot for the old tree style
My Pally: I have not even logged into yet for fear. Hubby has been tanking on his pally and I can see the changes he is having to deal with. I would not say he is struggling now, but he is certainly having to deal with a lot of changes. It has scared me off a little bit as I really do enjoy tanking and I would hate for it to be borked now.
My Warrior: Refer above. A few people have already told me that warriors have less cooldowns now and I am dreading having to sift through it all. Warriors are my favourite tanking class and I would be devastated to log in and find I don’t want to tank on him anymore. I will attempt to log onto my two tanks this weekend.
My Shammy: I got as far as selecting my talents and then had to do some 5 mans on my mage. So I have really got no idea what changes have been made to the rotations etc, I did briefly look through the glyphs but didn’t really get a chance to go much further than that. I am going to set her up with a resto spec when I get some time to play with her, hopefully this week. I am not overly worried though since my shammy is not one of my main toons.
To make matters worse, I finally got rid of Dominoes – the bar mod, because it was pissing me off in PVP. It would dislike my mouse and just not register the clicking and so was causing me havoc in survivability. Losing that though, has meant my bars and spells are all over the shop anyway because of the changes to the trees – PLUS the bar mod moving them around.
All in all, my toons are all in a massive mess and I just need a couple of nights to sort them all out.
We are trying to get the guild levelled since they have taken away the xp limits, so I am not really getting a chance to do much else but run dungeons for the xp. I would like to get my mage to exalted though so that is helping as well. I need to start doing some dailies again – I need more money for MoP.
Another result has been released!! Find the full details here:
Congratulations to the winner of Lower City
My page is updated with my entry as well.
All three things last night combined to make me one grouchy grouchy person.
Firstly, YAY – we killed Heroic Morchok!! We still need a couple of raiders as I had to pug 2 last night because one of our guildies got stuck at work and was not online until 30 minutes after raid start, and we are still missing another actual DPS.
I was quite proud we killed a heroic boss even though it was piss easy and in truth almost as easy as normal mode. Probably buff – but was it always that easy?
Regular readers of my blog, will know my feelings regarding PVP. I think you are all nuts!
However, when 2v2 teams came into the game, hubby and I created a team, and I was in a 3v3 and 5v5 with some then guildmates. So, what are we talking…BC if memory serves me correctly? We rocked that 2v2 team – he played his shammy and I was on my mage and we won about 50% of the matches we entered. To be honest that was about 50% more than I thought I would ever win. But we had fun doing it, I wasn’t in it for the rating or the OMG MUST KILL thing…I was just enjoying an aspect of my favourite game.
Due to an issue on our 5v5 team and in particular with a guildie who hated me for a reason I am still trying to work out, we ended up moving guilds and starting up our guild, the pvp fell by the wayside.
Anyway, the last couple of nights we have been doing some random BG’s, and I have actually been enjoying myself, in fact, on my mage, I have been dying less than I normally do. Of course I have only 2 pieces of PVP gear at the moment, but I am starting to get interested in it again.
I had not done any of the new BG’s side from Strand of the Ancients before the last few nights and I have to admit the influx of achievements has been a little encouraging
I even looked into starting up a 2v2 team again….shame!
Stupidly, I bought a war raptor on my druid to add to the collection of account wide mounts (I hope) for MoP:
Not realising that in the 15 minutes after doing that people would decide they wanted to start PVPing and I just wasted a buttload of honour points
At least it was my druid and not my mage, who the night before spent all 4000 of my justice points on enchanting mats figuring I would never use them for gear
Anyway, I managed to get the following achievements (and even a couple of them on my druid as well in consequent BG’s when I did them on her). The guild even scored a few more PVP achievements, which is pretty sweet – all we need now is a Dwarf mage and lock….for the class slayers
So in no particular order :p
I had fun, I am looking at some PVP spec for my mage, likely I will just go frost or fire, leaning towards fire
We shall see what happens.
So, I meant to post earlier but didn’t have a chance. We managed to get a guild group going in – ie 8 members of the same guild.
The reason this happened was because I got chatting to a lovely pally, who had a warrior tank he was going to bring. he asked his GL and decided to join our guild to help us out. I am not sure how long he will be with us, but his thoughtfulness and aid have given us a massive leg up in the guild achievements. Reyspada – you are a legend and thank you so much for what you have done. Also Serpentine and their GL Giga, you are awesome for letting us borrow Reyspada.
We had a couple of wipes on Ultrax, just silly things really people not watching things properly, then we got stumped by Spine. We kept getting close, but not enough you know.
All in all though, we smashed through everything, and for a guild that has never run together, with a tank (me) that was less than perfect and mildly geared but surpassed by Reyspada, we did very well.
The healing was amazing. Simply amazing. I have no idea if any of my ex-guildies read this blog, but I was always dying on my pally. Keeping me alive was a very hard thing to do. However last night, the healers kept me going without me being worried more than once or twice. They were generally because of my errors as well. This gives me hope.
We had a fantastic Shammy in the run Tauper, he was funny and was top DPS all night. Another awesome pug which I was happy to have found. He has been added to the friends list as well. I am a little concerned about the stories he was telling us – crocs in tool box etc….very disturbing. But it was enjoyable.
We were really hoping we would get through DS last night, but unfortunately people were losing focus by Spine I think and we had random issues of people not running into the hole etc.
Considering it was our first run together, I think it was quite good. We are going to try and get another run in this week to clear it out. A complete clear would be nice, but this way we can start working on heroics next week for the first couple of bosses and recruit for that. It makes us slightly more appealing as a guild than just new. I hope.
But – the most exciting thing – I didn’t call stuff out. Very occasionally. I wanted to make sure people were doing shit without me needing to coddle them, it was a relief to just be watching my shit and not thinking that others needed the help.
The guildies we have picked up seem to be very nice and I have to admit quite funny. I think we will all get along well providing we can push content. No resting on our laurels!!
Sorry for the long post!
Hubby and I stayed up until 3am last night…3AM!!! Oh hell!
We got our toons to 85 though and then ran a couple of dungeons on them.
It is a little exciting, but my shammy is now 85! His pally is also 85!
This makes it my 5th toon to max and his 3rd, with his druid about 30% left to 85 he is certainly catching me up.
I have really enjoyed just running around and playing with him to be honest, I miss it when he is not playing and I find immense satisfaction in us doing this together.
We chased a few achievements last night after we hit 85 since we were in the area. I really have to fix that mod!!
I was going to make this a separate post, but then decided to shove it all in one as I am talking about him now anyway it seemed a fitting place to just continue on. I have found the solution to my guild woes, I have joined a guild – wasn’t that fast?
My hubby has created a guild! He is currently deciding on a few details at the moment, and it is early stages, but he has been thinking about doing this for a while now. He was one of the GM’s back in the day with out first first guild, so he is well familiar with the running of a guild and he is a no nonsense kind of guy with a very level head.
I am excited because my hubby is not the type to let people who can’t play stay as raiders. He is an awesome player and to be fair all of our friends are very good players as well, so he has very little tolerance for people not being able to play their class well, I think I am excited most because he is such an eloquent person when he wants to be, I think finding a great team is not going to be easy, but if anyone can pull it off – he can.
So, with the above occurring, I have moved my mage over to be in his guild and left my other toons on AT for the moment, really only because the amounts add up when moving multiple toons around. I am yet too pin him down as to raiding days etc, but I have gleaned that we will have loot rules (yay!) and more than likely suicide kings, I would say and it looks like only 2 days raiding at this stage for 3 hours…so maybe wed and Sun from 7/7.30 until 10/10.30 pm AEST – but this is all just rough as guts at the moment.
So one of the reasons we were up so late, was trying to get guild rep and experience etc to help get the guild started up – we got 22% through the first level, so that is a good sign if we can continue in the fashion
We are going to bring over our hunters next week (perhaps) as they are almost 70 and to level them to 85 would be a massive injection of guild experience. We are also going to finish questing in both Vashj and Uldum for the cash as we did neither of them whilst levelling
Extra Cash!!!
So if anyone has toons they want to stick into the guild on Nagrand – please feel free! We won’t mind the levelling boost and I won’t mind the company whilst I level, quest and generally try and get some guild rep and experience happening.
Wish us luck, in the world of constant guilds being created we don’t want to just be another one, fingers crossed.
I just requested to be entered into the
Waiting to find out if I am in and which tabard I am getting.
Sha,tar!! I am IN – it is on girls and boys!

Maybe one of my professional transmoggers can help me out here, what if you don’t have the item…for example..I don’t have a chopper…so do i just create my set without being near a bike and then the judges will be comparing it with an image? Will that disadvantage me not being near the item in question?
Oh god…this is stressful already and I don’t even know if I am in yet
